Prof. Abir Mokbel professor of Rheumatology , Immunology and Rehabilitation at Cairo University, Kasr- AlAiny Medical School. She has 25 years of experience in treating patients with rheumatic diseases, regional pains and other autoimmune diseases. She has completed her undergraduate degree at the School of Medicine, Cairo University, Egypt, followed by my Master and Medical Doctorate degree in Rheumatology. She had several fellowships in Texas, USA, Saudi Arabia, and Canada. Recently, she has finished her Masters of Health Research Methods at McMaster University, Hamilton, Canada. She also completed several courses of osteopathy which enabled her to better treat different regional pains. One of her areas of expertise is treating pregnant patients with rheumatic diseases. She is the founder of the combined rheumatology and high- risk pregnancy unit at Kasr-Alainy hospital which managed hundreds of pregnant patients with rheumatic disease. During her academic and clinical journey at Cairo and McMaster Universities, she had the opportunity to participate and supervise multiple research projects aimed at understanding and improving the management of patients with rheumatic diseases.
